Design By Analysis, Inc. (DBA) performed finite element thermal and structural analysis of a flange ring and turbine shroud. The tasks included the following:

• 2-Dimensional axisymmetric FEA
• 1-Dimensional and 2-Dimensional transient heat transfer analysis simulating temperature gradients
• 3-Dimensional transient heat transfer analysis to predict temperature field during start-up
• 3-Dimensional steady state heat transfer and thermal stress analysis using various worst case scenario temperature gradient conditions
