Ann B. Discenza

Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Discenza is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Design By Analysis, Inc., a Women’s Business Enterprise. She has been with the company since its inception in 1995, having held roles in finance, operations, human resources and most recently in marketing and communications. She received a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and master’s in Polymer Science from the University of Connecticut. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the Connecticut Association for the Gifted.

Leonard S. Discenza

President

Mr. Discenza, co-founder of Design by Analysis, Inc., has guided DBA as it has grown from a single person consulting firm to a twenty person full service design company with an impressive customer base. Prior to founding DBA, Mr. Discenza spent 18 years as a structures analyst with leading aerospace companies such as Chandler Evans a Division of Coltec Industries, TRW and Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in civil and structural engineering from Villanova University and has completed graduate course work requirements for a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering.

Ken Hansen

Vice President of Engineering

Mr. Hansen has over 30 years of aerospace mechanical design and engineering management experience between Hamilton Standard Division of United Technologies and Allied Signal’s Grimes Aerospace Company. He has held the positions of Chief Design Engineer and Director of Engineering. He holds fourteen patents related to mechanical control systems. He was also an independent consultant to Curtiss Wright Flight Systems where he led a cross-functional team dedicated to improving their business processes. Mr. Hansen received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin and has received additional training in management techniques and team development methodology.
